I would call. If he sounds like he's getting worse. I've taken DD to the doctor so many times but it was worth it for the peace of mind.

I don't like to go to the doctor, but that has started to change. That is what they are there for! I bet if you called the nurse's hotline they would want you to come in.... It can't hurt to get it checked out.

I would call and ask the office if/when I should come in. My office has the nurse answer the phone in the afternoon so you can ask more medical questions than you'd ask the regular receptionist.

For me personally, I pay the copay for the piece of mind. So I would take him in.

My DS has been battling colds off and on over the last month and had an ear infection in the beginning of December that started it all off. This weekend he got stuffy again and has been sounding really raspy and like he has a dry throat. Usually it was just when he was waking up and then he sounded okay throughout the day. Today, as the day went on he sounds worse and really hoarse. He was pretty happy all morning, but had a crankier afternoon.

Any ideas for what this might be? Should we take him to the doctor tomorrow?

ETA: He hasn't a fever at all either.
