She liked opening and closing the doors and moving things from shelf to shelf and cupboard to cupboard right away. She started using it for imaginative play within a month. She's 23 months now and has played with it pretty much every day since we got it. Now her imaginative play with it is very elaborate. It's her most used toy. He played with it everyday for about a year before his obsession turned into trains. A lot of their play is just messing with the doors and knobs, and loading and unloading food into cabinets and containers, but they started kitchen mimicry (filling a glass at the faucet, etc) after about a month with it. I'm glad we got it sooner.
