@jodyblair: I was thinking 14 weeks seemed early and it might turn out that they couldn't tell. @littlejoy: That's helpful, I think I'll feel better waiting until 16 weeks!

Google what gender nubs look like before 16 weeks - they are nearly identical. We had the tech guess based on the nub theory at 12-ish weeks, and she was right (but it's not a scientific method per se).

We went at 16 weeks with our first because we were traveling to England to see the in-laws and wanted to be able to tell them in person. All the elective ultrasound places I looked into suggest not going before 16 weeks to get accurate results.

With my first, we went in at 14 weeks, but it was too early so we had to go back at 15 weeks to find out. We waited until 15 weeks with our 2nd.

I'm doing mine between 17-18 weeks. I want to be 100% sure. lol I'm doing it at the same time as my anatomy scan.

We did one at 16 weeks. The place I went wouldn't do them sooner than that, and I think I'd be too nervous about getting an incorrect analysis to go any earlier!

We are planning to have an ultrasound before the anatomy scan to find out baby's gender. The ultrasound office will book them as early as 14 weeks, but I'm concerned that's too soon. On the other hand, I want to find out as soon as possible. If you had a gender reveal ultrasound, how many weeks were you and was it accurate/easy to see gender?
