My LO is 3 months and she was overheating in her car seat. I tried her without it and felt she was a bit too wobbly without it. I'm so glad we got it but shes so much happier in it and way less sweaty. </p> <p>On a side note have you had any issues with your cruz? We live on the second floor so it was easier to carry her up and down in the infant seat, all bundled up for winter, than carry her down then strap her in and bundle her up. She was ready sooner. I decided to give the regular seat a try and took DS on a short walk. I reclined the seat a little, and he seemed perfectly safe and stable in there. Yay! We originally kept it fully reclined, but moved it to the first click upwards at 3 1/2 months - in part because DS is super tall and his legs seemed uncomfortable and in part because he wanted to sit up and look around more. We went on a trip with it and he screamed non stop. After that we switched to the convertible car seat, and then used the regular seat in the stroller. LO is 4mo now and I'm wondering when people transition their babies into what I guess they call the toddler seat and why. The FAQ on UppaBaby's website isn't very helpful. Thanks! </p>
