I needed steroids for intractable cough during pregnancy. My asthma was worse and inhaled steroids were necessary.

I had two colds back to back while pregnant lasted about 5 weeks. Then just before I was due got another cough that lasted three weeks. I did find the nasal saline rinses helped a bit. As did gargling with salt water. I went to the doc once but they said there's not much they can prescribe and to wait it out.

My husband swears my the neti pot to help with congestion and nose gunk.

I've been sick myself the past few weeks with a productive cough in the mornings due to drainage, but no fever. Went to dr and they said it was a virus so gotta let it run it's course. Doesn't help my allergies are in full swing also so nasal spray with an allergy med has helped some.

Hope you feel better soon!

Have you tried getting a humidifier in your room?

I don't know where you live, but the change in temperature and seasons always brings on the coughs and colds.

A month with these symptoms is a long time though. I'd go back and see the doctor. You don't want it to become more serious. Definitely vote for going

I'm hoping someone has some advice! I've had what seems like a cold for the last 4 weeks. Stuffy, runny nose, and coughing. The coughing sometimes wakes me up. It's a dry cough. I went to the doctor two weeks ago and he said it's a cold and gave me antibiotics. I didn't take them as a virus doesn't need antibiotics. I don't have a fever. Should I go back to the docotr though because I haven't gotten better? Or could I just have caught another cold and never had time between?
