It depends on the supply of nannies in your area. Do you have any idea about that? Nannies are popular, but not bountiful in my area so I started 2 months in advance. I ended up being a bit rushed in the end so I would say 3 months would have been better.

We started about 8 weeks before I went back to work. Posted the job on care and then did interviews. Then had our favorite do a trial day. We picked her about 3 weeks before I went back and then she came every week 2 times a week until I went back to work so I could show her how I take care of the baby. The earlier you start the better. I think I cut it a bit close.

Obviously with LO not due until the end of August it is a bit early now but, when should we start interviewing for Nannies? We have been back and forth between Childcare and Nanny but considering I am only needing someone to be with LO for 2-3 days a week while I am either sleeping during the day or working, we decided a Nanny might be the best.

I was also thinking that once we find somebody we like we should have them start a week or two before I actually head back to work so they can get an idea of how we do things/want them done and we can get to know them better. Is that weird?

I am so clueless on all this and Mrs. Pen's post just really got me thinking about it all again.
