Just heard back from my nurse, and she says the doctor wants me to start taking it 3 days after a positive OPK, so 1dpo.
Updating in case anyone has a similar question in the future :)

OK, good to know that my nurse is probably confused.
She was confused last month too, when I was supposed to go in for 7dpo bw, she had me go in at 5dpo because I had gotten a pos opk 7 days prior.
I'll call, but if she is still saying to take it today, I think I'll still wait a couple of days.

@LAZB: I agree with the other pp's, taking it the same day as a +OPK could delay ovulation. The RE always instructed that I start 3DPO. Hopefully you can get it cleared up quickly with a phone call!

The nurse is confused--you're right! I was told taking it before ovulation could delay things, and I should take 3-4 days after confirmed ovulation.

@Mrs.Someone: No, she didn't say, and I was surprised that she changed it up this month. It probably has to do with my spotting that started 2dpo the past two months, but she didn't pass along that info.
I do chart and use OPKs, and always seem to O two days after getting a positive opk, so I would feel pretty confident starting to take it in 2 days, maybe I'll just do that.
I think the nurse is getting confused and messing up the message to/from my doctor.

Sounds a little early to me... Did the doctor tell you why you should take it so quickly after O? It's my understanding that Progesterone is what tells the other follicles to stop growing, so I would think taking it before confirmed O would be iffy.

I'm going to call my doctor's office to clarify, but in the meantime, hoping you all can give advice.
In the past, I have started taking progesterone 2-3 days post ovulation, as instructed by my doctor. This time I am supposed to start taking it the same day as O. When the nurse told me this, she also said that I should start taking it the day I get a positive OPK. I have explained to her that I generally don't O until 2 days after a positive OPK, but she said that I still should take the progesterone.
She is confused, right? Won't taking progesterone when I'm gearing up to O mess something up?
