@Astro Bee: oh yeah, I'm less worried about my baby getting really sick than about her spreading germs to other kids. By so far today she seems totally fine so I'm thinking it's just teething. Ugh. So stinky though!!

@Foodnerd81: I've found that nursing (and its associated production of antibodies) kept the majority of bugs away from LO, even when all the other kids around him were sick. Maybe the foul poops will be the extent of the illness? Especially since she hasn't gotten sick to this point, while your older girl is already better.

@PinkElephant: she is absolutely teething. All four molars plus a front tooth. So that's what I thought before Christmas, then the toddler got sick.

@looch: I've thought about just bringing the three year old. But it would be tricky, especially getting her to leave early so I could get everyone to bed. It's a possibility.

They both just slept until almost 7:30 which is a good sign, and baby is nursing well and seems happy...

Is there any chance one of you could go with your 3 year old for a bit?

Is there any chance its teething this time? My oldest always had super foul diapers when she cut teeth.

I think you have to see how the morning goes. if LO is better and no one else shows symptoms, you could probably go...but if there's any doubt, I wouldn't expose your friends. Especially not right before it's time for everyone to go back to school/work. It's so disappointing, to miss it, I know....but I guess think of what you'd want your friend to do if roles were reversed?

On Christmas Eve we got hit with a stomach bug- it started wth the one year old having some diarrhea or just really
Foul poops for a couple of days, then Christmas Eve the 3 yo woke up puking, few hours later, dh got it. I got just a touch of it on Christmas and that seemed to be it.

Today the one year old has had some awful poops again- not exactly sure I'd call them diarrhea but it's not healthy. Four times today/tonight. We are supposed to go to a friend's house tomorrow for NYE (but still come home by bedtime).

Would you go? Stay home in case it's a bug again? The 3 yo is really looking forward to it.
