Thank you so much everyone! This made me feel a lot better. I think I'm afraid that if I stop pumping it will affect my ability to nurse on demand while at home. I think I'm ready. WOOO!

You can nurse on demand without pumping at work! Your body will adjust!

I basically did that at 11 months. I had enough freezer stash to get him close to a year but all of a sudden I dropped like 6 oz a pump session. So I just quit! In hindsight I think my pump was crapping out on me. I EP 6 months ! I didn't regret my decision. Considering I was iffy about BF at the start I was proud of how far I came - you should be too!

I felt a little like that too and I pumped for a year after returning to work. I actually stopped because she wasn't drinking it anymore and I nursed at home. She's two and I still nurse.

I stopped when it became a struggle to get 2-3 oz. 18 months is awesome!! I stopped cause I was working really hard for very little reward.

18 months is amazing! Could you stop pumping and continue nursing morning and night?

I stopped pumping at 1 year. I work 3 nights a week. So on days I work I nurse morning and before her nap and then on my days off morning, before nap and before bed. My supply I'm sure is less than it was but it's kept up at over 19 months now. Everyone is different though.

I think I'm just looking for support here. I feel like I'll likely stop pumping soon and I guess I'm feeling a bit guilty about it...DS is 18 months and we have had a great nursing relationship. For the last five weeks, I have been working back in the office three days a week (working from home two days a week) and have been pumping 2-3 times a day. My supply has been dropping off pretty sharply in the last couple weeks despite regular pumping. I went from producing 6 oz. to 3 oz. (from 2-3 sessions). I feel kind of ridiculous continuing to pump twice to give him only 3 oz. but at the same time, it's something.

Just feeling sad.. I know I've been SO lucky to bf this long, but I can't help but feel like I would be throwing in the towel somehow if I just give up pumping.
