I didn't stop swaddling until she seemed ready, around 5.5-6 months. I'm all for whatever gets them the best night sleep.

When LO found her fingers to self-soothe, we started swaddling her with one arm out. That was around the 3 month mark. When she was able to roll over from back to front (5 months), we stopped swaddling her completely because we were afraid that she wouldn't be able to go back if her arms are restricted.

It took about a week to wean from swaddling without disturbing her naps/bedtime sleep. One of the bees recommended tucking her under a thin blanket (i used an A+A) with the blanket tucked in the side of the crib so that she still feels cozy but is able to roll around safely. I had to do it this way because she was crying and rolling around the crib like crazy, as if she had no idea what was going on. After about a week i no longer needed to do it, and she was fine just being in a sleep sack.

Good luck!

We stopped swaddling when LO started rolling over in his crib at 3.5 months. I wanted to slowly wean him but I feared for his safety with the constant rolling and just quit cold turkey. He was fine and adjusted well to no swaddle.

I didn't stop until C started rolling in her sleep. She was about 6 months old. I say go with it for now.

Also, I'd wean her from the swing first and then the swaddle.

And how?

At three months, LO still needs it for sleep except when she naps in the swing (which I also need to start getting her away from..) She either startles or hits her face and wakes herself up without it. She can roll belly to back but not always and isn't anywhere close to rolling the other way...so can I just go with it for now?
