I made sure he had no weekend plans of his own by filling our calendar with fake.stuff, then said we were meeting friends for happy hour and drove us straight to the airport instead of the restaurant! All our friends were in on it, so he was so surprised! My old work buddy was whisked away to Mexico for his birthday one year. His wife literally woke him up and would not tell him where they were going till he caught on at the airport!
