Looking for a nanny position for an infant, most people would start looking while still pregnant (usually around 7mo), so months ahead of time. Super useful when I was unemployed right then, not 4 months from then. Then I hired her full time because I decided to go back to work. But I hated the job and decided to SAH after all, so I needed to go back to part time nanny share).<br /> I gave her a month notice. Basically I kept her on full time for a month so she could look for another family.<br /> My point is, I think a month is fair. I would think if less than 8 hours, a month (mostly because she will notice your packing regardless), 8-16 hours give her two months, 16 + give her two to three months? I don't know when to tell our (very part-time) nanny that we're moving. I'm doing a part-time share with another family that she's been with for years, so she'll still be able to keep working for them if she wants, but I don't know how long I should wait to let her know. </p>
