She is teething and she was up for 2 and a half hours in the middle of the night'the other day. I'm a horrible parallel parker and was trying to get into a space coming home from picking up Chinese. Right off the bat DH offered to do it and, when my pride flared up and I refused, kept trying to "help" me until finally I threw the car in park and got out and let him do it. When we got inside he asked if I was mad at him, I told him I was mad at myself for failing, and he said that he figured that would be the end result so he'd tried to take it over from the start. </p> <p>What he meant was it was dark, raining and a tight spot, and he's an excellent parallel parker and didn't want me to stress out about it. What I heard was "I had no faith to start with that you'd be able to park the car there, and assumed you'd fail." So I was pissed, and then he got mad and thought I was putting undue blame on him. (Like I said, dumb). </p> <p>As far as fights go it was more of a snappish spat, and ended within a few minutes after we both took a breath and took turns explaining what we meant/perceived and then both apologized, but I can count on one hand the number of times we've fought. </p> <p>When was the last time you and your SO had a fight? Was it over a silly misunderstanding? Are you a good parallel parker? </p>
