Also jealous of career moms that just love their jobs and manage to have a flexible schedule </p> <p>@gingerbebe: most people I know that have this type of situation IRL either are (1) "older" professionals who delayed having kids until their careers were established or (2) people with good jobs that also happen to have family money. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people who are just flat out super successful and have tons of money independently but the people I know IRL usually come from families with money so they don't have school loans, didn't pay for their wedding, were gifted cars so never had a car payment in their 20s, and were gifted down payments on their homes or inherited their homes. For example, my husband's boss was a doctor (and now CEO of his company), his wife was also a doctor (went back to work after her kids went to school), and their kids go to expensive private schools, they have an amazing house on the water with a private dock for their boats, etc. BUT they both come from wealthy families.
