It's a late dinner -- usually at least 8:30 before we sit down, but it's totally worth it to have a meal without juggling a baby. My mom watched LO for us and told me to take my time to enjoy the meal, so we did! I was gone for 3 hours and we talked, laughed, and ate like we did before she was born. It was a huge relief, because I'm 3 months pregnant, nauseous and tired, and needed a break. i had a relaxing leisure meal eating in with the husband, and then some tv, and went to bed early. wonderful. I'm okay leaving LO with my mom though - and we're going to go out for my husband's birthday sometime soon. I do cook nearly every day, but since half the week my husband isn't home I wouldn't say it's relaxing. I quickly eat while LO swings or plays on the floor. We wanted to rush home so MIL wouldn't get bored or anything. I can't enjoy my food when she's squawking and I need to make sure she's eating and okay. :P DH and I decided that we're gonna go out without LO once a week and have a nice eating experience without baby.
