We eat dinner most nights after we put DD down to bed. It's a late dinner -- usually at least 8:30 before we sit down, but it's totally worth it to have a meal without juggling a baby. This weekend we're probably going to go out to dinner just the 2 of us for the first time since LO was born, so that will be amazing.

Last Saturday, DH and I took LO's godparents out for sushi to wish them a happy one year wedding anniversary. My mom watched LO for us and told me to take my time to enjoy the meal, so we did! I was gone for 3 hours and we talked, laughed, and ate like we did before she was born. It was a nice break but I definitely missed her and was super excited to pick her up!

on Monday night, when my in-laws had LO over at their place for the night, which was also the first time she had ever stayed overnight without us, at 23 months. It was a huge relief, because I'm 3 months pregnant, nauseous and tired, and needed a break. i had a relaxing leisure meal eating in with the husband, and then some tv, and went to bed early. wonderful.

not sure... I'm okay leaving LO with my mom though - and we're going to go out for my husband's birthday sometime soon.

I do cook nearly every day, but since half the week my husband isn't home I wouldn't say it's relaxing. I quickly eat while LO swings or plays on the floor.

Last night the hubs and I went for pho and while it was nice to be out with just the two of us, it was hardly relaxing. We wanted to rush home so MIL wouldn't get bored or anything. The last night we had a long enjoyable meal was before LO was born.

Before the baby was for me born also. She can be dead asleep, but as soon as my fork hits my plate to get a bite, she wakes up. The kid has radar! :p

Ive eaten really well and lots of great food lately, but the last time I really enjoyed my food and had a great dining experience was before LO was born.

I can't enjoy my food when she's squawking and I need to make sure she's eating and okay. :P

DH and I decided that we're gonna go out without LO once a week and have a nice eating experience without baby.
