Tonight! My pizza just would not cook. I ended up crying and throwing a fit. To be fair, I am taking lots of hormones right now for fertility treatments!

A few weeks ago I was making chicken breasts in the oven, and I checked them a few times with the meat thermometer, but it was still way too low. Finally they had been in there for AGES so I cut them open and of course they were done. Meat thermometer fail! The chicken was still edible but definitely over-cooked and dry. Still no idea why that thermometer stopped working...

I also fail every time I attempt to cook frozen fish.

a couple weeks ago i was making chicken fajitas and forgot about them and the sauce got all congealed and burnt. but my husband ate them anyways. i think my crying(thank you pregnancy hormones) about how i ruined dinner made him feel like he had to eat them.

A few weeks ago, I was making a pork roast in the crockpot. I wanted to cook potatoes along with it, but for some reason didn't think they'd need to be in the crockpot for as long as the pork. So I added the potatoes about halfway through the cooking time, and they took for-ev-er to cook. They wouldn't soften! By the time we finally ate, it was after 10 p.m. I learned my lesson.

I made pork chops last night that were all screwed up. I have no idea what happened! Normally I pan fry, but these were baked. They were still slightly frozen, but not by much. I cook slightly-frozen meat all the time (though usually its chicken). I baked them at 350 for about 40 minutes and they were still raw in the middle. I turned up the oven to 375 and over the next 40 minutes, they still stayed raw, but the outsides got so tough and weird. It was inedible by the time it was done. I felt so bad because DH waited over 2 hours for dinner and we ended up with just mac & cheese! :(
