I usually hold her and sing her a song before I put her in her crib for the night. A few times lately she's fallen asleep. It's such an amazing feeling because it's so unlike her. Maybe a couple of months ago? I don't remember precisely when but she randomly fell asleep (for maybe 30 minutes) on me during her morning nursing session. I loved it! He is nearly 10m old and he never sleeps in my arms. If he is in my arms, he likes to play with my hair and "talk". It took us a *long* time to get to this point. She fought naps, even when being rocked to sleep, for more than a full year, and things only really got better once she dropped down to a 1 nap per day schedule. (She's almost 16 months and a terrible napper.) I still love having my baby fall asleep in my arms on weekends after her lunch. We transfer her to her crib a few minutes after she falls asleep. I know I should try to end this habit b/c she falls asleep for naps on her own at daycare (and always falls asleep on her own at bedtime).
