Then his expressive language exploded; I think he's definitely caught up at 2.5, if not a bit advanced. But he was at the point that he was going to be evaluated at 18 months if he didn't get some words. LO2 is 13 months and just started consistently saying words in the past month. She now has 10 or so. Have you talked with you ped. about it? Since she was a tiny newborn she has been entranced by lights. She's nearly 1 year now and mimics and points but no mama or dada. However, when he finally did start talking it was a language explosion! I would not worry too much; it seems babies all differ so much on this!
