We've never had a blowout (used cloth diapers until 12 months, which I think helped) and the only time we had any sort of leak was when somebody forgot to do up one side of his diaper before putting him in his jammies. We cloth diaper so I guess that prevents it. Her poop stays contained.</p> <p>We've had a handful of leaks but it's pretty rare. Poo leak, on the other hand, is nearly every other poo. Especially when she is in the car seat. It never fails. Daycare suspected a stomach bug because there were five blowouts out of seven infants one of those days. I had just taking a shower (this is key), and DS was playing on the floor in the bathroom. He fussed a little when I was drying off, so I thought he was hungry. I brought him over to the bed rather than bringing him to the nursery and laid down to feed him. All of a sudden (cue dramatic music), my hand felt mushy. Poo had smushed its way up out of his diaper, and up his back. It somehow got in his hair (the back and the top!), and was in my hand, and his arm!!!</p> <p>Needless to say he took a bath, I reshowered, and I swore to buy a couple of new cloth diapers so I would have to deal with the backups on wash day.
