At age 2, she got it all together. We try to keep the potty a really positive experience, so if they don't wan tto try or want to get off immediately we try to distract them with a song or book but don't force them to stay there. Every time they go we make a really big deal out of it: singing, clapping, dancing, etc... We didn't use any bribes with DD, just a lot of positive reinforcemement. She was pee trained and wearing training pants at 15 months: she usually signed potty to us when she had to go. At 18 months we made the final push to get her out of training pants and she was totally potty trained within 3 days.</p> <p>Up until about 24 months, though, we had to help her use the potty and she didn't have a very long wait time, so those first few months were kinda labor intensive.
