My doctor said that it would peak around 10-11 weeks, and that was about right for me. Unfortunately, I still had morning sickness for my entire pregnancy.

By the way, Zofran = wonder drug. I would fill the prescription just in case. Then you'll have the option of taking it if / when you need to.

Mine started at around 7 weeks, PEAKED from 8-12 weeks and then started slooooowly getting better from then on out until around 16 weeks when it fully went away. Hang in there! I know it's the worst!

I had MS from 6 weeks to 14 weeks but the absolute worst were 8-12 I think. Those were the weeks where I was throwing up every day and extremely nauseous at night.

Hehe, the constipation is another reason I'm hesitant to get the Zofran. Things have been moving along nicely so far and I like that! I tried b6+unisom once a couple of weeks ago and still woke up in the middle of the night nauseous. I may give it another shot--I have nothing to lose!

Mine was from 5.5 to 9.5 weeks and was the worst between 7-8 weeks. I did the b6 and unison and it really took the edge off. When the nausea went away, it didn't taper off though, it was overnight and I felt like a brand new person when I woke up that day. My doc prescribed zofran too but I never felt the need to take it and I was too scared of the constipation!

I felt sick/off/nauseated from weeks 6-9, and started throwing up (and, ironically, feeling better) from weeks 10-18. I finally started to feel like my usual self in the last two weeks, though I still have moments of nausea.

I actually didn't mind throwing up, but I hated feeling sick for so long!

Mine lasted from 7-15 weeks, but I never really got my appetite back during pregnancy.

Take the Zofran! It's completely safe and will not harm the baby. I have been on zofran for 2 of my pregnancies and both are very healthy.

My 1st, I was on Zofran the whole 10 months since I had severe morning sickness. The sickness started at 8 weeks and went till day of delivery. Constant vomiting and ER visits for hydration = not fun! After they gave me a dose of zofran, I was a completely new woman.

With my 2nd, it came back but stronger and earlier, so the first sign of nausea I took the Zofran, vomit or no vomit. It has been such a lifesaver because without it, I would be unable to eat/drink much.

I will say, taking zofran does come with CONSTIPATION! but just eat enough fiber and LOTS of water and it shouldn't be too bad.

Hope you feel better soon! Hang in there.

6 weeks - 10 weeks were the worst for me. So it definitely let up way before the first trimester was over. Thank goodness! I never threw up, but had lots of nausea, and a LOT of fatigue.

@tororojo: oh have you tried vitamin b6 + half a tab of unisom every day? that was the only thing that worked for me, and i tried everything -- crackers, ginger ale, acupuncture, sea bands, etc.

i was still nauseous, but it helped a lot!

it started at 6 weeks and started going away around 14 weeks. alas you may have at least a couple more weeks til it starts subsiding. the bright side is.. you feel great in the second trimester. better than normal i think!

I thought there was a thread on this but I can't find it. I am 8 weeks, 2 days and SO TIRED of feeling nauseous all the time! My doctor offered Zofran but I haven't thrown up at all and I've heard that it helps vomiting but not necessarily nausea. I feel like I should be constantly holding a trash can just in case. I have a family wedding to attend tomorrow night and am dreading it :(

When were your absolute worst weeks for nausea/morning sickness? Did anyone start feeling better before the first trimester ended?
