My mom is a firm believer in after the baby. I am a total type a and would prefer to have it before so that I can get everything organized and know what I have so I can go buy what else is needed but I also understand the reasoning for after. I think that the 33 week one was the ideal time to have a shower! I was big enough that my bump was really on display but not completely miserable and humongous. It also still gave me time to organize the gifts, get the thank yous out and still purchase what was left afterwards without feeling at all rushed (and my baby was born 2 weeks early). </p>
