Charlie was super easy to potty train though and we could have done it way sooner. Waited for him to be ready. There really wasn't any training. Just a day or two where I reminded him all day long. He decided he wanted underwear and we had very few accidents.</p> <p>For about a year prior he was very interested and peed on the potty once a day. But I never pushed it. After 3 days he was completely pee trained. it took 10 days to get comfortable pooping and going by himself.<br /> He had random pee accidents maybe 5x within the first 3 months, but none since those 3 months after being trained. We started early at 2.5 because of school and now 6 months in we have almost zero per accidents but almost daily poop in pants. It's caused me gray hair. But I still believe we are very close.</p> <p>I wait wait closer to age 3 to start. I hear about so many kids who get it and never have an accident. I did not vote. But when people ask me when he was potty trained, I say 23 months. That is when he was interested, and when the majority of the actual learning occurred.</p> <p>ETA: for school purposes, he was fully potty trained enough when he started preschool a few months after our training at 23 months. Kids under 5 occasionally have accidents, especially at night. My son is 31 months old, and he has absolutely no interest in the potty. I want to enroll him in a week long summer camp after he turns 3 (5 months from now), and they require him to be fully potty trained. I'm worried he won't be ready by then. I'm curious to hear when other boys were potty trained. </p>
