I lost all of the weight, but I appear to be a full pants size larger now. I can squeeze into my old pants, but it's uncomfortable, and not pretty at all!

I was able to zip them up with a muffin top around 3.5 months pp and at around 5 months pp they for perfect. Now at 7.5 months I even fit my skinny skinny jeans and have to wear a belt (cause I lost some butt roundness...). I eat a ton to keep up with BF but DD is probably eating her weights worth since BF is really what is helping with my pp weight loss.

I'm 5 months pp and not even close to fitting in any of my pre pregnancy clothes. I gained 40 lbs when pregnant, have lost 30, but am 3 sizes larger than I was. I am so miserable about it and wish I could figure out how to find time to workout. I feel like I just can't get it together. Nevermind I have my period like every two weeks and my hormones are obviously screwed up right now. Sorry for the rant; I'm just really depressed about it right now.

@Mrsdaredevil: i want to scream when people tell me, "don't worry, you'll lose all the weight breastfeeding." i also bf and exercise, but i know that the weight will come off faster once i stop bf-ing. I'm always paranoid that if i don't eat enough that i won't produce enough milk for LO.

I lost the baby weight by 2 months, I think. I was out of the maternity clothes by 6 weeks, and didn't even need the belly band by 8 weeks, I think. I used a belly shaper starting at 1 week pp, more because it helped me feel more comfortable after the c-section than anything else.

My hips spread while I was pregnant and it took a while for everything to move back to where it was supposed to be. It wasn't a weight issue-- just a putting things back where they belong issue. I think jeans were no longer tight or were loose by 4 months.

My jeans that have a higher rise are almost fitting at almost 6 weeks post baby, but I don't have a prayer in fitting in my other jeans right now. Exercise will definitely help, especially anything that tones your butt and thighs!

I didn't try mine on for the first few days. When my Dad arrived when LO was about a week old, I wore my 'fat' pp jeans and they fit fine. Shortly after that my others fit too but gave me muffin top. Now at 4.5 months I'm back down to my skinny belt notch with them, yet my shape still doesn't seem the same.

I highly recommend getting a body shaper, like belly bandit. I got mine gently used from craigslist and i found that it really helped. If you're still breastfeeding, it should still work as i started using it at 6 weeks.

I was able to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans after 2 months, but i got that cursed loose muffin top. i went jeans shopping this past week for some mid-rise jeans.

I am a little over 5 months post-partum, and i have 6 more pounds to go. I feel like i've been saying that for the last 2 months!

my jeans are falling off now at 5 months pp

I think they started to fit around 6 weeks, with a muffin top, and thenI stopped paying attention until about 2 weeks ago when I started to have to wear a belt.......I am a very stable weight person, so I can only attribute this to breastfeeding: I am eating like crazy now

I lost 33 pounds, 10 to go. I can squeeze into all my pp clothes (well, some tops are too short now--different problem!) but it is not comfortable to wear all day. 4 months post partum.
Still getting there...

@zippylef: woohoo!! That's awesome :)

I lost all my weight at 6.5 mos pp, but only half my jeans fit. Most of them give my crazy muffin top or are just too low/too tight to be comfortable. My favorite pair of jeans are a midrise that work well for a tummy pooch. I had nearly all juniors brand jeans - like AE and AF - so those are too low for comfort now that I'm a mommy.

I still want to lose some extra weight, so another 20 lbs and I will invest in some new jeans.

They'll just gradually start to go back, but they may never be 100% the same again. I'm finally to a point, at nearly 6 months pp, that most of my clothes fit again. I've lost all of my whopping 60lbs of baby weight too.

Jeans in particular? I'm already down below my pre-pregnancy weight but my hips and Burt apparently spread just enough that my jeans still don't fit (I'm 6.5wk pp). I haven't been cleared for anything other than light walking but will exercise help shrink my hips, butt and thighs?

I really need some hope that I won't have to buy new jeans!
