we didn't potty train olive until she turned 3, but we eliminated nap and bedtime diapers pretty much right away because she would remain dry. potty training was much harder with her though than charlie!

with charlie potty training was super easy, but we did keep him in bedtime diapers for a while.... i would say over a year after day training at 2 1/2. he never had accidents in the daytime, but would still pee at night. talking to my friends, boys night train way later. i have friends whose boys weren't night trained until 6.

E was totally done maybe 3 weeks after we started? She was 27 months. We have at least two more years with T, though!

@DillonLion: it's a huge commitment, especially when you WOH. It's hard! A huge factor for us was that we had 2 in diapers and it was expensive!

I think by 25 months? We tried hard to ditch them altogether when we started PT'ing with the 3 day method before she turned 2.

But, I did end up buying a small pack of pull-ups to keep on hand. I learned my lesson after she got a stomach bug and UTI this past year. Ugh!

We were totally done at 26 months, about 2-3 weeks after starting. She basically just night trained herself at the same time we day trained. She's never had a nighttime accident, now more than a year later, and just gets up and goes in the MOTN if she has to (very rare). But I know she's not the norm at all! We lucked out.

LO has been in panties the last few weeks during the day, but still wears diapers for naps and overnight. She still wakes up very wet so we still have some time before we're totally done with diapers. She also won't poop in the potty at all so far, so I hope we can make some progress in that regard soon.

But I am loving the fact that we are down to using only 2 or so per day! We introduced the potty around 18 months, but finally went to panties officially a few weeks ago when she was nearing 3 (will be 3 in November).

When were you 100% done with diapers? How long did the process from start to finish ultimately take?
