They need to friend me and I need access to their accounts. I won't ever breech their privacy if they don't break our trust.<br /> My niece is 12 and has a IG and snapchat account. I'm friends with her and definitely had to teach her a few cyber safety things including a random stranger that was cyber bullying. I've been noticing kids are getting them at younger ages, and I think there is too much out there these days that it makes me nervous. I had social media accounts around the age of 13 when we got our first family computer and I think that was a good age. BUT I would still require I have access to view it until they are a certain age, not sure when that would be though. Things could change over the next 10 years though!</p> <p>What are your thoughts on social media accounts for kids? What age will you let your LO have one and what will your rules be? </p>
