I hesitated to weigh in because I'm no pro on kiddos that age, but I would move her upstairs. I'd be comfortable with that now (LO is 15 months) with a gate on the stairs and a monitor, but my DD is also too little to open doors or get out of her crib.

All our rooms are on the same floor. I'd probably only put my LO on a different floor once they were 4 or 5.

Our house technically has 4 bedrooms. One functions much better as an office because you have to walk through it to get to the master. Right now, the master and the nursery are on the main floor and our guest bedroom (with connected bathroom) are on the second floor. Eventually, our kids will share the upstairs bedroom and the nursery will either be the guest room or stay the nursery (depending on family plans).

So, my question is, when would you be comfortable moving LO to the second floor? #2 is due in September and will be in our room or the office for a while. LO will be almost 2.5 when a/he arrives. I know that we will definitely keep her in the nursery until #2 is on a consistent night schedule. We're waffling about whether to move LO upstairs at that time or to keep them together in the nursery.

Any wisdom?
