It was sort of a special situation where my MIL and SIL wanted to go so we went. It was a 3 day day festival outside with food and other kids and some kids stuff. Maybe I'm over-protective, but I just don't think it's an appropriate place for a child. I suppose it depends on the band, but for example, when I saw tons of little kids at a Green Day concert with f-bombs galore, lots of drunk people, women flashing and throwing their bras on stage, and stuff like that...that's just stuff I'm not wanting to expose my child to at a young age. I guess it would depend on the band though. DH is obsessed with Paul McCartney, and that I'd be fine with - well, minus the fact that those tickets cost wayyyy too much money to add on one for a kid! Haha. And I'll be honest, I agree with you that I'd rather just focus on the music!</p> <p>My parents never really took me to a rock concert. Well, unless count the times in like 9th and 10th grade when I was dying to go to a concert but couldn't drive yet, then sometimes they'd tag along and just hang back in the lawn or seated area while I was in the pit with my friends. She knew every word to every song! Couldn't have been more than ten. I saw a few toddlers but they were in the lawn area where there is a lot of space to move around.</p> <p>My first rock concert was....don't laugh...Def Leppard. I was seven! I dunno what possessed my parents to take me, lol! Or why they wanted to see them in the first place! LOL. I also saw Elton John when I was around nine or ten. </p> <p>I dunno when I would do such a thing... if I really wanted to focus on the music I think it would be annoying to have a toddler with me. </p>
