My numbers went from 18 to 80 in just 2 days. The 80 was from either 14 dpo or 15 dpo, so my levels are now right where they are supposed to be, yay! More bloodwork on Thursday and next Monday. They'd never have me in at 12 or 13. My first pregnancy was a chemical and I think I had my beta on 17DPO, and it was 5. Two days later it was 0. Your tests are getting darker, so that's a good sign. And HCG of 18 on day 12 is completely normal. You may not have implanted until the day before. That's why I didn't have betas done until 14dpo this time because I didn't want to be stressed wondering if it was low because it was early or low because it was a chemical. My clinic schedules betas for 18dpo, which always feels like a hugely long wait. I had the same problem you did, with my nurse not "letting" me come in early for betas when I was fearing a chemical pregnancy. By the time I went in for the beta, my positive tests had faded to white and my result was a negative. It was several days of extra torture to go through, and I should have fought it, but I really didn't like that nurse and just wanted to minimize interaction with her.
