This happened last week, we brought the portable DVD player and a tote of toys she packed. She was more itrested in playing on the swing set they had in their back yard (left from previous owners.)

We have friends who are childless and the few times we've been to theirs for a meal, they have usually had something that DS would eat, although one time it was on the spicier side and he just had dessert. :silly:

I let him bring a few small toys and I also take the iPad with films loaded.

I bring all of my own everything, I do not understand the concept of packing light.

Usually, I bring Color Wonder markers and stickers. I let my son pack a bag of things he wants to bring as well, that ownership helps him feel invested in going somewhere.

Other ideas include those magnetic erase boards, magnetic story books, etc. I am a big fan of kits.

Do you bring food/snacks? Books? Markers/paper? Ipad?
