My husband does sales for a wine distributor and gets a case a month, usually a mix of red and white. When we do buy wine it's usually $30 and up. But for reds like Pinot noirs and cabs, you generally have to spend a little more. The one exception is Malbecs from Argentina which can be excellent and very reasonably priced. When DH and I went there, we visited Mendoza which is their wine region, and the wines were dirt cheap and so, so deliciously good! There are so many great wines under $15, and we have an awesome liquor/wine shop near our house that has great specials on bottles of wine.
