@MamaMoose: yep, we're exactly two weeks ahead of you. we did one time feeding the first 1.5 half, then added the banana, we just added the lunch 2 oz portion a few days ago, and sometimes it's hit or miss depending on how his naps fall during the day! the BM is first and then if there's time we'll do the lunch solid!

2 oz? Just based on what I sort of measured out and the containers I froze it in.

I made our stuff fresh, so I can't tell you in ounces, but when we were doing single fruits and veggies, he'd get one apple, one sweet potato, etc. If I had extra, I'd freeze it and that's when I started combining.

@mrsjyw: OK.. good to know since our LO's are so close. I guess we'll start doing bigger servings. LO is on the smaller end of the growth charts (30th percentile) so I'm really not concerned about over feeding her at this point. We are also still only doing purees once a day because I was holding off on having day care feed them to her but I think she's ready for twice a day!

we did half of the earth's best jars and gradually moved to the full 3.5 - 4 oz serving. homemade purees we store in the oxo 2 and 4 oz containers and feed him usually around 4 oz, either of one veggie or 2- 2oz servings of two veggies at dinner.

He also has a banana (1) at bfast... and usually a 2 oz lunch!

A always grunts for more at the 2 oz mark! :P Even at 4 oz sometimes!!

My LO is six months old and started purees a couple of weeks ago. She's been doing great! Ususally the first time she tries a new food she is hesitant but after that she eats like a champ! So far we have done avocado, sweet potato, peas, apples, and carrots. I was giving her about 2 to 2.5 ounces of homemade puree. But when I did apples I ended up finding organic applesauce from Publix and the ingredients are literally just apples and water so I figured there was no use making my own since I couldn't do any better than that! Well the applesauce cups are 4 ounces so I figured I would just feed her until she stopped wanting more. Well she flapped her arms and opened her mouth and gobbled down the whole 4 ounces. Which makes me wonder if I should always be giving her bigger servings. How much did you give when you first started purees?
