I pay a lot for my color so I try to watch the cost of a cut. But more often than not, when I go to SuperCuts, it ends up crooked/uneven. Not worth the money I'm saving! Can't beat $17. Plus, they have all had to go to school to do this. I've gone to salons and got bad haircuts and gone to cheap places and got great ones, it can go both ways. It just depends who the stylist is. Hair schools can be cheap but I think that is more of a risk. Plus you have to have more time as it takes longer since they are just learning and the teacher has to check after each step they do. I like the idea of looking for a groupon, so you can go somewhere fancy and not pay the price. I've gone to Fantastic Sams/Great Clips in the past and they always always always mess up. Last time I went to GC, she took off 2"+ than what I asked her too! Many times it's crooked as well... you get what you pay for :-P I say find a salon - many have great introductory coupons/prices too! I once found a local salon that said $25 off for new clients! They do a great job and its well worth the $. Then I got a gift card to a salon/spa, and was thrilled with the results! They do amazing things with my hair for less than $50, well worth it to me every 2-3 months. I'm getting my hair cut!!! I haven't cut it in years, and its over halfway down my back. I'm still going to leave it below my shoulders, but it will still be like.....5-6 inches! I don't have a salon obviously that I normally go to, but I really don't want to spend a fortune on a haircut. (no color). Would you trust just going to one of those cheaper hair salons like Cost Cutters, or would you go to a regular salon?
