they live in town, so if we eat together we go out to eat. sometimes she'll cook us a big meal, but that's rare. I try to avoid cooking for other people since we don't have a dishwasher... I'm so lazy.

We go to their house more often (every weekend). They'll come over maybe once every 2 - 3 months and we'll usually make steak and some sides.

We usually order pizza the first night, since they have traveled across country. After that my MIL usually cooks- meaning one of the husbands grills and we make up some sides. Then we will go to dinner a couple times.

I don't like to cook for a lot of people, and my FIL is a picky eater and probably wouldn't be a fan of what I make. That doesn't bother me at all- food tastes so much better when someone else cooks for me!

@Mrsdaredevil: haha we are definitely not super rich lol I mean I suppose it's not that much $$ to just order take out, but still - I don't think the thought has ever crossed my mind. Our in-laws are in NY and they didn't offer to order in while we were there either... idk must be regional thing??

Usually DH will cook when my in-laws come over. I'm too afraid of being judged for my bad cooking. Oddly enough we go over to my in-laws house to cook dinner for the family because both of them usually work on the weekends and come home just in time for dinner.

@Coco Bee: I agree!

I thought only super rich people (like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) did stuff like that. Not to say that you're not super rich... you could be! LOL

No one would EVER do that around here!! We definitely cook.

:)

@mrsjyw: We'd grill, but we're going to P's aunt's place for a BBQ the following day. Mmm.. Didn't know there was an MGM up there?!
