It's to the point where we will probably do the Shettles method to get a boy. However, the very few that did, wanted girls, but went on to fall completely in love with their sons. </p> <p>We genuinely didn't have a preference; I hope to eventually have at least one of each, but I'd also be fine with all gals, too. I had a strong feeling from the get-go that this LO was a girl, and admittedly got a little attached to the idea. Most of our friends and family were super pumped, but I did get a strange comment from one; "Oh, I really hope my first baby is a boy. That way, he can be a mentor, and protect his younger siblings."</p> <p>While I find big brothers just as sweet as the next person, I plan on raising my daughter to be confident and assertive enough to take care of herself.
