They were boys! But I also had a coworker name her daughter Avery. It's hard for me to shake the idea that it's a boy name since I knew 2 growing up. I have this struggle with Taylor too. There were three Taylors in my school and they were all boys! But it's becoming a very popular girl name. I also really super love the name! However, DH and I have been at odds about a boy name starting with "A" (even though we said we'd stop discussing it until we know the sex!) and when he suggested Avery I got so excited that I didn't dare say I always thought it was a girl name! It looks like most of you think "girl" as well! I think I could probably get over that, though, because technically it can also be a boy's name and I do love it.
