<description>&#60;p&#62;I have written the occasion bad review on google. I do however believe in speaking through tips. Good service gets good tip, bad service little to no tip. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I refused to tip once at an IHOP, all of our food was burnt, we never got refills on our waters or other drinks, and the waitress disappeared. DH was appalled when I insisted on no tip, but we left nothing and it felt good. I may not have even paid for the meal, but we had a gift card and didn't want to ever return to an IHOP so I thought we might as well use it.

I asked for the kid mean to be taken off the bill, the whole $6.50, the manager very rudely agreed and then because I took the kids out to the car and left DH to pay, she only took off half.

<description>&#60;p&#62;First, I don't go to restaurant on crazy days. Particularly mother's day and new years eve. Ever. Couldn't pay me to do it. Because it is always going to be crazy busy and even when people are doing their best, things will go wrong. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Under normal circumstances, I may or may not complain depending on what happened. If I find a server sort of rude or they repeatedly forget stuff or just seem like crappy servers I lower my tip. I figure-- they'll figure it out. Also I think servers are entitled to have &#34;off&#34; days and they probably know when it is happening without my complaining to a manager (I was a server for years and I definitely had my share of f-ups and got crap tips in those cases and it was justified). If they mess up our food I send it back, if it comes back quick fine. If they mess up again or it takes forever to get the right thing, that is pretty much the only time I ask to speak to a manager. I do it right then so the manager can see the situation. I haven't ever taken my issue online, and probably wouldn't unless the manager was a dick to me.

We just had a horrible 2.5 hour Mother's Day dinner at a local restraunt. From the horrible service to DD not even receiving all of her dinner. The manager so nicely took our drinks off the bill (2 waters and a coke). So I emailed them and I wrote a review on their Facebook. I am a manager in the customer service/ hospitality world and I am just floored by how some managers act in these situations.
