We try to stick to no later than 7:30, but may push it back an hour later if we have to (provided he napped well that day). But that's usually only when we're traveling.

Yes we do. But he is almost 4, so that is a little different! I've always been a little flexible though, and have never had a problem pushing them around a little, like within an hour when he was little.

LO is still so young. I can move her naps around a bit but bedtime? Forget it. I'm strict with her bed time.

It depends. If we're out of state for events then yes. Usually I won't commit to anything that's past 6pm (when we start LO's bedtime routine). When my parents were here for thanksgiving I let my LO stay up a little past her bedtime.

No way, but my lo is still very young. If we do want to go out a tiny bit later, we'll just have her sleep in her stroller. If we're smart, we bring her night time diaper and pjs and then she won't even have to wake up when we put her to bed.

We're laid-back about it. Our DD is pretty resilient when it comes to sleep. She adjusts fairly easily to time changes, late bedtimes, etc... She's always been a bit of a night owl compared to her peers.... She takes after my hubby and I! It works for us!

I'm a stickler. I am willing to move around her nap but have never done so for her bedtime. She goes to bed before 7 so I can't push her bedtime very far back for night time events as I'm sure she'll just be too exhausted.

We do let him push back bedtime occasionally, but it's not too often. Plus, he has a later bedtime of around 9:30ish, so we dont often have a reason to be out much later than that. He's also so used to having his bath and going to bed by a certain time that he doesn't really even enjoy himself if he's staying up late. We will be out for New Years, so I hope that goes well at least!

We've always been pretty strict with Charlie's schedule. He's usually asleep by 7:30 every night. As he gets older, he can stay awake an extra hour or two without getting too tired.

I went to a Christmas party tonight, but didn't bring Charlie since it went on past his bedtime. All of my friends' kids have bedtimes that are much later than Charlie's, and they all brought their kids.

But am I too much of a stickler? Do you let your LO miss naps and bedtime when attending events?
