Basically glass cups get hotter in the wash, and so that heat causes the water to evaporate faster. We used to frequent a pizza place in Indy when we lived there (Hot Box Pizza) that had this "deal" that was like $22 for a pizza, breadsticks, and 2 drinks in reusable cups. We must have 50 of those dang cups! They're AMAZING- wider, plastic cups, great for water. But they're the same way in the dishwasher and such a pain to have to hand dry them after it runs!!!! I have stopped using them but DH has *amazingly* picked up my slack. (Head ---&gt; desk.)
