I had zero symptoms of labor - no contractions, didn't lose mucous plug, barely a cm dilated. I ended up with an elective c section at 39 weeks because of my son's size. Too good. I had trouble sleeping, but that seems par for the course. I was mostly worried that Flipper wasn't doing anything to prepare for heading out. My suspicions turned out to be correct. Worried about random little things that hadn't gotten done yet. Physically I had a lot of pain when I was sleeping. But, I was still pregnant for 4-5 more weeks after that. Which also means I didn't lose my plug yet. I felt tired, but was okay overall. I was induced at 37 weeks due to IUGR, they broke my water and the induction caused me to lose my plug. (i.e. could you feel labor "coming on" in a sense?) I definitely had the nesting instinct, but I'm not sure that it was ramped up more than it would have been if she'd come on time. I was actually pretty chill. I'd had a cervical exam the day prior and was told that I was not dilated or effaced and to expect to go overdue.</p> <p>ETA: Share when you went into labor! My water broke at 930 pm, and I went in the hospital to check that everything was still ok. They wanted to monitor me over night and see if anything happened, and I started having contractions around 3 am. I remember being so uncomfortable at my work Christmas party, thought I was going into labor. BH contractions like crazy, migraines almost daily, I walked and walked trying to walk him out every chance I got. </p> <p>Once I hit 39 weeks I decided I just couldn't handle my work commute any more and told them I was going on leave- my water broke the next day.</p> <p>ETA- I never nested. I lost a chunk of my plug at 37 weeks and the bulk of it about a day and a half before I went into labor. </p> <p>I was positive I was going to go late.
