He eats cheese and yogurt every day, so I don't stress about his milk intake. What we do is milk in the morning with breakfast, water with lunch and dinner, and milk here and there if she hasn't eaten that much, and then a night time bottle. We try not to give it to him right before meal times because we want him to eat instead. He didn't take to the sippy cup at first so we did a lot of smoothies for breakfast. We did WCM at meals and for snacks (unless he drank a lot of milk during meal time. Then, just water). But around a year she stopped liking bottles of expressed milk when I was away, so we started putting it in straw cups at the usual times she would nurse (around a year I think that was wake up, after nap, before bed). She was a pretty good solids eater by then so I started offering cows milk in a cup at meals but she would only take sips here and there for a while. Right now I offer cups of milk with meals, plus before naps and bedtime. They still nurse too, but I've always had low supply (at least, for two babies at the same time) so I don't know how much milk they really get from me. At regular bottle times but in a straw/sippy cup?<br /> DD2 isn't eating that great right now so I hesitate to add milk at meal times. But I don't think at school they will let her walk / crawl around with milk in a cup. </p>
