Sleep sleep sleep. I would only wake to feed if she's obviously dehydrated.

Sleep!! It's important! She'll wake when she's hungry. T slept for 4 hours in one stretch when he was sick. I would be ready to do a diaper change and nurse him really quick when he started to stir. Then he was ready to go back to sleep. I just made sure he was in a quiet and dark place so he could rest well.

I would let her sleep. And do a tepid bath to bring the fever down when she wakes up.

@BabyBoecksMom: I don't know if this is helpful, but I use Motrin for a high fever, not Tylenol. My pedi said it's more effective at bringing down fevers, and it lasts longer. I occasionally use Tylenol for teething etc., but Motrin is my go-to for real illness or pain.

And I definitely vote to let her snooze. Poor LO :( Hope it's over soon!

It depends on the situation, but with sleep that choppy i would definitely let her sleep. She will wake up when she is hungry.

I would also go see the ped with a fever that high for that long, especially if meds aren't bringing it down.

Sleep! Unless you think you can manage a dream feed (where you nurse/give a bottle while they sleep through it).

@autumnlove: Thanks - she's so sad and uncomfortable :-( Tylenol isn't lowering the fever much below 100.7, so I hope this is over really soon.

DD has had a 102.5 fever all night and she hasn't slept more than 30 min at a time until just a few hours ago. She hasn't eaten much today, so I don't know if I should try to feed her or just let her sleep and wake when she's ready to eat. I don't want her to get dehydrated, but I also want her to catch up on sleep.
