It will pass! My LO was a biter for awhile, but she grew out of it.

We are having the same issue. Lo won't nap and disrupts al of the other kids and he's having the most accidents. It's really hard for me not to be really upset. We are on week 3 so I'm hoping it'll be ok soon, by I'm honestly looking at other options too...

My daughter was a tough case at daycare pretty much for an entire year, though the first couple months were the worst. They said they had never seen separation anxiety that bad - and the director has been there almost 20 years.

Maybe we just had a fantastic daycare or really great teachers, but I actually felt like it endeared LO to them more in the end... like they "earned" her affection. I never once felt like she was a thorn in their side because they were so sweet about it.

Still, it broke my heart. As time went on she started to have more fun at school but she would still have bad days. So I know it is really hard.

My son was a biter. He actually got kicked out for it. Feel free to PM me.

It passes, this was my son (not with biting, but hitting). I can't tell you how many times I would get a call or an email from the teacher about something or other and I would literally cringe.

It definitely passes! DS had a hitting phase and I was so, so embarrassed when the director told me about it day after day. She was nice about it and said it's totally a phase for his current age and he'll outgrow it. I was still the worried mama, and eventually it did pass. Thank goodness! Hang in there!

It is all a phase, and it all will pass.

I don't have experience quite like this, but I've often wondered if I will in the future. My child is, shall we say, opinionated, and once got bit because she stole a toy from another baby. But the teachers are very calm with the kids, even the fussy ones. They all have spells like that.

One thing that has helped us is to see what their corrections look like there, so we can be consistent at home. When someone misbehaves, they say, "no, thank you" to stop or correct the behavior, We try to use the same language at home, for consistency's sake. We also say, "no ma'am," and they use that for LO, too.

It passes :) My baby was "that kid" for the first 6 weeks of her going to daycare. She outright refused to take a bottle. They tried everything and she would go ALL day without eating, never gave in. I was a wreck, scared they would kick her out (in home) because so much of their attention was on my one baby. Eventually it got better and now she's the easiest baby I've ever know! ha

If you have gone through phases where your child is the "problem" at daycare, how did you deal with it non-emotionally? F has had a bad week at daycare with cranky teething so skipping naps, and a continuing biting issue.

I can't help but worry he is the thorn in their side and desperately want to take care of him but I can't since I work FT.

Advice? Can you tell me that this stuff is a phase and it will pass?
