Just realizing I didn't come back to this. Thanks y'all! I am making myself stop shopping haha. It is so hard to not go overboard this Christmas!

That is PLENTY!!!

When we bought LO her kitchen, I bought her one set that included some pots and pans and food, and then a smaller set of just food. So, 2 sets of accessories total. Some other family members bought her additional items, but not as much as you have listed above.

that is plenty! My brother and SIL got her a huge box of plastic food to go with her kitchen last year. She plays with the Ikea pots and pans and the coffee maker, blender, and mixer the most. Most of the food never gets played with. Then my boss gave me a ton of M&D stuff. We have too much!

I think you have plenty of food. When we got H her kitchen, we only gave her the food that came with it. Her nana/grandpa gave her a plastic shopping cart with food and memaw/po gave her a tea set. She got a pancake set for her birthday and I think we are getting a few more food items for Christmas this year.

That's more than plenty to start with. Honestly we had a kitchen with very little food toys at the beginning. I think it took me 6 months to buy a set of pots and pans. Oops! You'll accumulate them over time.

I think it's enough, but if you feel like you want more, one thing I did was to save plastic food bottles, like ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc and give them to my son to play with in the kitchen.

Play food is my weakness, lol, though. I would buy so much of it!

I keep going back and forth between thinking I have gone overboard for Christmas, and that we haven't gotten enough. :/

LO's Santa gift is a toy kitchen (IKEA). She already has Melissa & Doug pots & pans & utensils but that's it as far as play kitchen stuff. I'm planning to get her the IKEA dishes. Here's what else I've gotten:

- Melissa & Doug shopping cart
- Melissa & Doug cutting fruit crate
- Melissa & Doug 21 piece food set
- Melissa & Doug slice & bake cookie set
- Learning Resources Super Sorting Pie

Is that "enough"? I have been eyeing more food but she is getting a lot of other gifts so I feel like I really need to stop. Am I crazy for thinking we need to get more? When I've seen her play with toy kitchens, she spends a lot of time stirring invisible food in pots and pans anyway so I feel like the food is really secondary to her imagination...?
