If I'm lucky he will nap longer but not always. I do try to put him down earlier if he shows cues. Hope you both catch up today!

Sometimes we get longer naps after a rough night, and then again sometimes whatever was distrurbing night time sleep carries over into naps. :) I'd probably stick to your schedule for putting to sleep, and then just hope they last longer? Maybe throw in an extra late afternoon nap if things are rocky?

If it's a super rough night he usually goes down for naps earlier and sleeps just a bit longer. Hopefully this is the case today! Good luck!

i'm sorry about the rough night! my LO is all over the place with naps, but i would watch for her drowsy cues earlier than usual and go ahead and let her nap if she gets tired earlier.

i find that LO makes up for lost nighttime sleep in her naps during the day. she sleeps around 12-13 hours total each day (10-11 hours nighttime sleep plus 2-3 hours of naps) and it always ends up being around there. if she gets 9 hours of sleep at night, she'll take 2 really long naps.

Do they have longer or more naps during the day?

It was a nightmare last night. We couldn't get our 3 month old to sleep until 12:30 and now she is waking up, not even 7 hours later! Usually she goes down between 9:30-10 and gets 10 hours (with one wake up). I'm worried this will make for an awful day. Is there something I should do? Encourage more naps?? Or just let her be on her normal "schedule"? I use that term loosely as she pretty much runs the show :P
