@PrincessBaby: awwww. I hope she feels better soon!!!

I check on her a LOT when she's sick. When she was under 1 year, I would check on her a couple times a night, sick or not. Now I still go in and check on her before I go to bed. :)

Haha umm perfectly healthy LO and I check her breathing regularly.. It worries me when she's too quiet. DH admitted to checking her breathing as well, which I thought was sweet! We are a paranoid couple ;)

even when healthy, i regularly look at the monitor to see LO's body rise and fall with his breathing to make sure he's still alive.

Oh yeah, 18 months and we've been through several bouts of sick, I put the monitor on (which is rare) extra high so I can hear him snore. Or I pull him into our guest bed with me (like the last couple nights since he's had a pretty high fever on and off).

My son is 10 and a half months and I still do this even when he is not sick!!! And we co sleep. So there ya go. You are not the most neurotic momma on the planet. I actually really love how the author of a Girlfriends Guide to The First Year describes it. She has a section devoted to mom paranoia and it's titled If Anything Happens to my Baby I'll have To Kill Myself. Yup. Pretty much sums it up.

Oh no :( I'm not looking forward to LOs first sickness. I check her breathing several times a night as it is. My DH would be the exact same way, though! I hope she feels better soon!

The sweetest girl in the world has finally fallen victim to a sickness. She was running fever in the 101s and other than being tired and fussy, no other symptoms. She went to sleep 4 hours ago and I have checked to make sure she was breathing 467 times. It is freaking me out! But I guess I need to toughen up, there are sooooo many more sick days to come!

What also baffles me is the difference in a man and a woman when it comes to a sick baby...Me to DH: "Do you think this is normal? Do you think she'll be okay? How long do you think this will last before she kicks it?!? I'm going to go put my hand on her and make sure she's breathing..." DH: "I dunno...Hey baby can you bring me a tums and some ice water?"

Drive me nuts! I am alone in my paranoia!
