Towel totally. Yeah, this happens a lot (we co-bed). He often vomits/pees out (great fun waking up to pee trickling down your arm).

If I know he is possibly going to puke, I put a layer(or 2 or 3) over the sheets and take them off after puking.

Pee, we'll throw a towel over it and change the sheets when we get up. Puke gets changed immediately. Since she's a toddler that mean she's real vomiting and it smells horrible. We had to change our sheets 3x in a row last week...she had a stomach bug and kept missing the puke bucket and the towel we had laid down in the bed.

Spit up or wet through her dipe, just a towel/receiving blanket. She has thrown up thrown up before though & that required immediate change.... thankfully it was naptime & not in the motn

DS use to do this so frequently I slept on a waterproof pad and then took it off when he spit up or let all the milk spill out of his mouth!

Oh dear! If it was the MOTN I would just cover with a towel and sleep in a different spot. Change in the morning!

@Foodnerd81: Yup, he slept through my yelling, her crying and the lights turning on and off! He worked a week of overnight shifts so he is drained.

I need to find our receiving blankets. :-)

@autumnlove: DH slept through the whole thing? Sheesh.

I lay a receiving blanket down when we bring her into our bed and she hasn't soaked through that yet, but if (when) she does, depending what time of night it is or how tired I am, I'm sure I'll resort to the towel plenty of times. We actually only have one set of sheets for our bed.

Aaaaw! If LO is sleeping in our bed, DH has moved to the couch. I usually lay a folded up receiving blanket under LO but if it were to majorly soak through that I would change the sheets.

Do you change the sheets right away or cover it up with a towel and try to fall asleep? :-)

LO woke up at 6 so I brought her into our bed to nurse. I guess she ate too much because she threw up all over my side. I changed her and put her back in her crib and I wiped down the puke. DH is still sleeping so I just covered the damp spot with a dry towel. :-(
