L just caught a cold from me and I feel so badly about it, but it happened before I even fully realized that I had a cold! Avoid kisses and wash your hands a lot. At one point, we were both laying on the floor of the living room while our daughter played with books next to us. It could not have been more pathetic. The washing hands is especially important when touching his bottles either when preparing them or taking them out of the dishwasher etc. (Sorry if that sounds like a no brainer). I also tried to avoid touching the front of the pacifier and steam-sterilized them a little more often. When LO was 3 weeks old she got a nasty cold which both DH and I got too. He got it before me and I did keep him away from her. But when I got it, nothing to be done! I obviously tried not to cough on her and I tried to wash my hands more.
