At a year this was our schedule<br /> Wake up - nurse<br /> One hour later solid food breakfast<br /> Sippy cups of water in the playroom if they get thirsty<br /> Snack solid food<br /> Lunch sold food followed by nursing then nap<br /> Snack solid food and sippy cups with water<br /> Dinner solid food<br /> Nurse before bed.</p> <p>When I went to wean them I prioritized which feelings my LOs wanted most for comfort. For us the night time was the feeding they really wanted to snuggle the most so that was the last one I dropped. The week they turned 1 I dropped the mid day nursing. Because they were twins I always used a nursing pillow and feed them at the same time so I let them lay the same way but gave them a sippy cup. The following week I dropped the morning nursing. This time I let them lay on the pillow in the morning with their cups but put the pillow away for the mid day sippy cups. The third week I took the pillow away at both feedings but was still nursing at night. The fourth week I gave them sippy cups in the evening on the pillow. After that I got rid of the pillow and they took milk in sippy cups. </p> <p>I had some engorgement but it was mild. I used my pump on th lowest setting twice in that month because it got uncomfortable.</p> <p>Good luck with weaning! It both sad and a relief. Two weeks after weaning my husband and I went to a hotel while the grandparents watched the kiddos for a night. From what I understand usually around 10 or 11 months they start to want a lot more solids and gradually the solids replace BF. Been meaning to email you to see how you are. Anyhow, nanny started and I've weaned afternoon feeds. When baby doesn't see you, baby won't crave to be BF. LO doesn't do well with sippy so we have to spoon feed some milk after meals. Once I come home, usually around 4ish -- she attacks me. Don't worry about weaning, as it is easy. I didn't feel engorged too much. I still nurse 3-4x vs. 5-6x. I let LO nurse as much as she wants when I'm home. I noticed that LO added a nursing session after bath time. (Bath, Story, Nurse, Sleep) and still STTN. AF still hadn't returned and we want LO #2 and don't have a lot of time.</p> <p>I dropped a BF at a time, starting with a day feed. We did replace it with a bottle feed so probably a slightly different situation to yours. I gave it a good week or so before I dropped the next feed. The onky time I had issues was after the last feed was dropped. I had big, hard boobs for a week. Maybe you can try pumping or formula .... but I know your lo doesn't love the bottle.
