Perfect timing - I didn't feel exhausted like I did in the first trimester and wasn't too big yet so the flight was fine. We also went to Maine for a long weekend when I was 36 weeks, it was 1.5 hour drive from our house. I decided not to take a planned trip at 34wks overseas because I felt it was too risky if anything were to happen. We went to NYC when I was 36 weeks pregnant (2 hour drive, 45 minute train). My midwives said don't leave the continental US after 24 weeks (they told me this the week before my trip.....) and I think that's fair... mostly because you want easy access to a good NICU if you go into pre-term labor after that. I probably wouldn't have left my local area after say 35 weeks. When's the latest you'll take one?</p> <p>I never took one with LO #1 so I would love to with this pregnancy. We can't afford anything crazy so it'll be either a quick weekend trip across the border for DH &amp; I. Or a trip to the beach with LO for the weekend. Also I really want to take her to the beach this summer! If the beach the best time will be in June or July. August I will be too close to my due date (8/27).</p> <p>Both kinds will be 1-2hr drive and relaxing with minimal walking.</p> <p>So, what say you, what's the best time to take a baby moon? </p>
